I groom dogs and cats in a quiet salon with one animal in the room at a time: clipping, hand-stripping for terriers, de-shedding for huskies before summer, nails, ears and a proper bath. Matted coats after a wet winter take patience rather than a fast blade, and I will always tell you when a coat has to come off short for the animal's sake. Cats that hate the car get the first appointment of the day when the room is still calm. Nervous dogs come for a short handling visit before their first full groom.
